The Center for Children and Youth conducts workshops for children with Asperser s Disorder and nonverbal learning disabilities. Its workshops focus on topics, such as managing medications, work opportunities, and commuting and roommate issues. The center offers assistance with time and money management. The Center for Children and Youth also provides services related to advocacy, homesickness, and social and daily living activities. The center serves children between the age of 12 and 14. It is a part of West Bergen Mental Healthcare, which was founded as a child guidance clinic in 1963. West Bergen Mental Healthcare serves more than 3,000 children, adults and senior citizens annually.
