Vieira s Bakery originated from one man and his dream to be an entrepreneur. The business started in 1969 when a bread delivery route was purchased and Portuguese bread was sold from house to house. After many expansions, Vieira Bakery is now housed in a 60,000 square foot building that is equipped with an office and a plant with the latest technology. All of its machines are computer automated and make about 25,000 rolls an hour. With over fifty delivery trucks, Vieira s Bakery supplies customers in six states, to a radius of 200 miles in the states of New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. In addition to fresh products, Portuguese products and Artisan products, Vieira has added par-baked products to its line. Vieira s Bakery is in Newark, N.J.
