Since 1975, the Lupus Foundation of America, New Jersey Chapter, Inc. (LFANJ) has provided services to people suffering from the auto-immune disease Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, also know as Lupus.
The Foundation's services include support group meetings throughout New Jersey, referrals (medical, legal, social services/case management), resources, literature, educational programs, its Lupus Link newsletter, and the award-winning Lupus Now magazine.
The Foundation holds a number of annual events, including its Walk for Lupus Now, a gala dinner, a day at the races, and a beefsteak dinner. Funds raised from these events are used to provide patient services and programs, and to support research grants to help find a cure for lupus. The organization's mission is to educate and support those affected by lupus and find the cure.
The LFANJ also offers a variety of volunteer opportunities and internships. Visit the Lupus Foundation's website for details.
