Aikido Arts Institute (established 1976) is international headquarters for the Hiriki Aikido Association. Included within its curriculum are Hiriki Classical Aikido, Mixed Martial Aikido, Aikido instructor development, proven self defense, special needs GMS, conflict resolution, meditation methods, and the martial healing arts. Aikido Arts Institute Chief Instructor Alexander Rusinko has taught Aikido and Aikido instructors since 1964. Shihan Rusinko served as Defensive Tactic Chief instructor certified by the New Jersey Police Training Commission, with rank certified by the founder of Aikido himself before his death. Shihan Rusinko's Hiriki Aikido is a defensive martial science utilized by civilians and law enforcement personnel to keep people safe. It derives from the classical pre-WWII Aikido of founder Morihei Ueshiba, continually evolving to adapt to new realities in the post-modern world.
