This church offers many opportunities for congregants to get involved and its various ministries serve the broader community. Members can help to bring music to worship services by joining the Worship Band, Bell Choir, Sanctuary Choir or Children's Choir. The TORCH Youth Group offers fun, fellowship and community service. Both youth and adults in the congregation can help feed the hungry through UMC in Wayne's own small Food Pantry as well as collecting food for WIN in Wayne, CUMAC in Paterson and God's Creatures, which helps struggling families keep their pets. The church also organizes missions to help the needy in Passaic County and in Appalachia. UMC in Wayne also sponsors Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops, hosts AA meetings and has its own pre-school.
