Southard Park, located on North Maple Avenue, is a pesticide-free park. It has a picnic area and shelter, a barrier-free playground, ball courts and fields, and a pond stocked for fishing, with no license required. In the winter, the pond is used for ice skating and the park hours are extended to 11pm for that purpose. Horses are prohibited and all dogs must be leashed and curbed. There is also a historical marker on a boulder in the park dedicated to Henry Southard and his son, Samuel Southard—members of the 16th Congress.
