New Providence Middle School, serving grades 7 and 8, is one of four schools in New Providence that strives to be is "dedicated to excellence." About 40 faculty members instruct nearly 300 students in Language Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education, Health, Science, Social Studies and World Languages. Exploratory courses include Robotics, Language Arts, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Practical Arts and Music. Various programs and services are also available, which include School Climate and Culture, Guidance, Special Services, Basic Skills Instruction and English Language Learner. Lunch is available for all students and the menu is available on the school's website. The PTA is very involved with fundraising for the school. A variety of extracurricular activities are available for students. The school is attached to the high school, sharing some faculty members, classrooms, a media center and an auditorium, but the schools are considered to be two separate buildings with separate offices.
