Founded in 1913, the Roseland Fire Department is a volunteer nonprofit organization that provides fire suppression and protection and emergency medical services. The department maintains a fleet of engines, ladders, tankers and rescue vehicles. It responds to emergency calls that include structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and false fire alarms, as well as provides first-aid and transportation services. The department employs a fire chief, captains and firefighters. It uses donations to fund community events, scholarship programs and company activities. The department provides automobile and collapse rescue and hazardous materials response services. The Roseland Fire Department conducts fire prevention education sessions and is located in Roseland, N.J.
