South Jersey Legal Service Inc
Founded in 1968 as Camden Regional Legal Services, South Jersey Legal Services is a nonprofit organization created to provide legal representation and advocacy to low-income and indigent individuals. The organization seeks to empower low-income individuals to access the judicial system to achieve procedural, social and economic justice. South Jersey Legal Services provides legal advice and counsel on domestic violence, custody issues, divorce, housing, unemployment benefits, Social Security issues and other legal problems. It also has a separate department that handles the needs of all senior citizens regardless of income on a priority basis. The organization is funded by federal, state and local governments, as well as grants and private funding. South Jersey Legal Services maintains its headquarters in Camden, N.J., and has satilite operations in the New Jersey cities of Mount Holly, Woodbury, Bridgeton, Atlantic City and Cape May.
