An active student body and a dedicated PTO are just some of the advantages the Pennsylvania Avenue School in Colonia boasts. The community benefited when the school's student council marshaled its classmates to run food drives, collect backpacks for foster children and engage in pop-top collection for the Ronald McDonald House.
An intense faculty engages the children, from kindergarten to fifth grade, to sparkle in their academics. The school has computer carts and wireless Internet throughout.
The PTO is highly involved, as well, running programs for parents and students, fundraising for the kids and bringing interesting speakers into the school.
The principal of Pennsylvania Avenue School is Denise O'Donaghue-Smith.
