An excellent cook, Grandma Jasmine dreamed of having a successful family business. Here passion for cooking soon led to the first Penang in New York, a hit with everyone who tried it. With little knowledge of how to run a full scale restaurant but lots of intuition into what makes a great dining exp;experience, her sons set out to offer their guests an experience they wouldn't soon forget-generous portions with unlimited array of authentic Malaysian dishes on the menu. All were made with imported spices and native ingredients served in a warm and casually comfortable setting. The restaurant was an immediate success thanks to the strict observation of Grandma Jasmine.
