Voted "One of N.J.'s 10 Best" by the Star-Ledger's Munchmobile, O'Reilly's has served up comfort with the comfort food for going on 30 years under the aegis of owners Walter Lee and Mike Jeffrey. That's the shark they caught in Florida hanging over the bar.
The Irish pub has "lunch regulars, bar regulars, football regulars and Sunday regulars." Friday and Saturday are pretty busy with regulars too. Sundays are huge, with 20 TVs going so "we have the Bills fans over here and Steelers over there and on the big screens we have the local teams like the Giants and the Jets."
There is Anchor Steam on tap and ample space (long booths, separate areas with tables and the long crooked-stick bar) to sit and think your thoughts or partake in conversation, which tends to be animated.
Lunch specials include tuna club and cup of soup. There are burgers made of 8-ounce black Angus beef and even wraps instead of rye if that is your thing. More features include a pool table, pizza and baby back ribs, as well as rock bands from time to time.
