Founded in 2000, Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity has provided homeownership opportunities for hardworking families for over two decades. Northern Ocean Habitat's home repair programs have provided critical home repair and ADA modifications to over 300 homes in Ocean County, NJ. The ReStore is a thrift shop open to the public, operated since 2001.100% of the proceeds go directly toward Habitat's housing programs. Shopping with purpose, you will find affordable items of all kinds: antiques, furniture for DYI projects, furniture to buy ready for us, retro finds, etc. In 2021, the ReStore diverted 665 tons of material out of landfills. The Habitat ReStore (circa 2001) The ReStore is a thrift shop open to the public, operated by Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity since 2001. Conveniently located on Route 37 in Toms River in a nearly 15,000 square foot showroom store, we specialize in gently used furniture (both indoor and outdoor), appliances, household items, and gifts, all of which make a house a home. There are items for all such as new renters/homeowners, seniors on a budget, or items for dorms. There is a high level of inventory on rotation in this busy store that has well over 30,000 sales per year. A receipt will be provided. Our tax EIN is 22-3661840. Funds raised by the ReStore are used to directly support the construction of affordable housing and critical home repair/ADA modification projects. To schedule a free donation pickup, please call the donor coordinator at 732-818-9500 x 123. Donations can be picked up or dropped off. If you would like to drop off your donation, please call ahead.
