New Jersey Education Association is an organization founded in 1853 by a group of educators from New Jersey to promote public education for all students. The association has various departments, including communications, executive office, government relations, professional development, research and economic services, and Uniserv. It is governed by elected delegate assembly members. Its policies are implemented by the executive committee, higher education members and professional onclassroompersonnel. Through its Frederick L. Hipp Foundation, it provides grants for educational projects, and offers and training and professional development programs for school employees. It is member of the National Education Association and other school districts of New Jersey, and local affiliate of New Jersey's various county and state colleges. The head office of the association is located in Trenton, N.J.
