Perched atop a hillside overlooking The Pingry School and Darren Woods in Bridgewater, Mount Horeb United Methodist Church is one of Warren's oldest churches. The church was founded in 1824, and counts nearly 100 member families today.
The church congregation participates in many service programs, hosting regular dinners for area homeless, as well as helping at soup kitchens. Each year, the members gather for a fund-raising turkey dinner in November to help support the church and its programs.
The church also hosts a popular vacation Bible school, each year in the second week of August, with the four-day sessions running from 9am to 2:30pm. To better serve the congregation, services on the last Sunday of each month are held in the handicap-accessible Coddington Hall.
