Established in 1961, the Monroe Township Municipal Utilities Authority works towards providing safe water for domestic, commercial and industrial use. The authority operates an interconnection pumping station with Elizabethtown Water Company, as well as more than five groundwater wells. It monitors the presence of asbestos and volatile and synthetic organic chemicals in water. The Monroe Township Municipal Utilities offers hydrant flushing services. The authority also handles cases related to the maintenance and operation of sewer systems. In addition, the Monroe Township Municipal Utilities Authority provides water conservation tips.
