Monmouth Park was first started in 1870 and its current facililty has been running strong since 1946. Live horse racing takes place from May to November, generally on weekends and some holidays. The park offers many options for people of all ages. Families can spend a day picnicking near the playground and adults are able to BYOB. The park also offers simulcasting seven days a week.

Favorites at Tom's River Off

Favorites is an off-track wagering and sports bar. Since its opening in 2008, it's been a great local place to go and watch the races and relax. Favorites has a 141-seat sports bar with 300 flat screen TV monitors. It also has 164 individual handicapped desks and features a restaurant and bar. The inside decor is of granite and marble trim, and the bartenders and servers are friendly and very helpful. You must be 18 or over to enter and 21 for the sports bar.
