In November 1969, New Jersey voters approved the creation of a state lottery, the proceeds of which would be used to benefit education and nonprofit institutions statewide. The lottery has expanded since then and now offers numerous instant scratch-off games and daily and weekly draw games. Among the more popular lottery games available in New Jersey are the multistate Powerball and Mega Millions drawings, as well as the state's own Pick 6, Jersey Cash 5 , Pick 4 and Pick 3 drawings.
Located in the Lawrence Park Complex at 1333 Brunswick Avenue (Business Route 1) near the Brunswick Traffic Circle, this facility is the headquarters of the New Jersey Lottery Commission. While lottery prizes of $599.50 or less can be collected at any lottery retailer statewide, prizes of $600 or more must be redeemed with a New Jersey Lottery claim form. Completed claim forms can be delivered directly to lottery officials at this site.
