This small, exquisite French restaurant with a seasonal menu (high-end French with an American accent) came to downtown Maplewood in 2005. Named after Lorena Campos, who co-owns the restaurant with her husband (and chef) Humberto Campos Jr., Lorena's uses fresh ingredients and produce from local farmer's markets and has received rave reviews from the New York Times, the Star-Ledger (which named it the number two restaurant in all of New Jersey), Zagat and others. Reservations should be made three to four weeks in advance.
