Phelps Park is located near Route 4 and the Fairleigh Dickinson University campus. Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, playground equipment and a children's wading pool, the park is used by both local families and FDU students. Teams from Teaneck High School also use the park's tennis courts. One the park's unique features is the arboretum, a one-acre plot of land featuring a collection of approximately 150 different types of trees. The park is only five blocks from the Cedar Lane commercial district and easily accessible by car and New Jersey Transit bus lines.
