A sense of community and belonging permeates this upscale, award-winning assisted living facility, from the carefully planted and pruned tulips that greet visitors at the entrance, to the thoughtfully decorated traditional English interior.
The warm and caring staff of this locally owned and managed facility, which is run as environmentally as possible, know each and every resident by their first name. Activities, ranging from tai chi to yoga, current events lectures, bible studies, movies, bingo, support groups and a men's and women's club, exist to keep residents engaged. Juniper "encourages people to try something new, keeps them mentally sharp, and expands their horizons a little bit," says activities director Donna McCoy.
Amenities and services include two wellness centers, a spa, a hairdresser, a communal kitchen, several cozy living rooms, a library, a media center, a dining room with a professional chef and outdoor gardens.
Juniper also has a nurse on staff and provides physical therapy and rehabilitation services.
