Dr. Fishkin completed his undergraduate education at Yeshiva University in New York, and was then admitted to Chicago Medical School, where he was awarded a research fellowship. He completed his eye surgery training at NYU and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. Dr. Fishkin has served as medical technology consultant for a variety of medical internet companies and has been involved in the development of award-winning software, devices, and websites. He draws on his technological expertise to ensure that the latest developments in ophthalmology are made available for his patients. Dr. Fishkin has lectured to physician, patient, and hospital groups on a variety of topics, including diabetes and the eye, and the proper management of eye emergencies. As part of his volunteer work, he provides free vision screenings at local schools and health fairs. He is Ophthalmologist for the prestigious Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, the #1 rehab hospital on the east coast.

Dr. Joseph Fishkin is a Board-Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist. He treats all ages, and specializes in all aspects of eye care, including cataract surgery, laser vision correction, contact lenses, glaucoma and eye infections. Over the past year, he has been awarded both the Patients' Choice award, and the Most Compassionate Doctor award, a distinction shared with fewer than 3% of the nation's doctors.
