James Madison Intermediate School, located in Edison, N.J., is a learning community that serves over 500 students in grades three through five. In addition to its core curriculum, the school offers classes in physical education, visual arts, and vocal and instrumental music. James Madison Intermediate School has a team of guidance counselors that promotes social skills and assists students in dealing with conflicts. The school organizes a variety of extracurricular programs, such as character counts, growing up and D.A.R.E. It also provides meal, medical and transportation services to the students. James Madison Intermediate School is a part of Public Schools of Edison Township, which serves more than 14,000 students.
