Irfan Ahmed, MD. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon at Rutgers North Jersey Orthopaedic Institute (NJOI). In addition to his position with the practice, Dr. Ahmed is an associate professor of the Department of Orthopaedics at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). He also serves as an attending physician at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, Newark Beth Isreal Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey. Dr. Ahmed's professional affiliations include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Society for the Surgery of the Hand and the Parkistan Medical and Dental Council. He has also given back to the international community, providing orthopaedic hand surgery services to Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO), as well as volunteer work as a clinical instructor at Mulago National Referral Hospital in Uganda.
