Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission was organized under the education laws of the state of New Jersey in 1980. The commission is governed by a representative assembly that comprises one member of the board of education from each of its constituent school districts. Its continuing education programs include adult basic education, adult continuing education, English as a second language, and high school completion. The commission also organizes various programs and activities for kindergarten through grade 12 students. The programs include alternative education, Asperger's syndrome classes, charter school services, child study team, and various special education programs. Its business services include cooperative pricing, student transportation and vehicle maintenance, and computer and technical services. Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission is headquartered in Flemington, N.J.
