The Hillsdale Borough Board of Education supervises Hillsdale's three public schools: Ann Blanche Smith School, Meadowbrook School and George G. White School. The board sets policy and standards for the Hillsdale School District. It has five members and its president is James D. Hayden Jr. For high school, teens in Hillsdale attend either Pascack Valley or Pascack Hills, both of which are part of the Pascack Valley Regional High School District, a separate entity from the Hillsdale School District.
