Situated on a 10-acre campus in Greystone Park, N.J., Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital is a 550-bed psychiatric hospital that serves residents of north central New Jersey. It is one of six psychiatric facilities throughout New Jersey that comprise the states Department of Human Services Division of Mental Health. The hospital was established in 1876 as the State Asylum for the Insane. In 1925 it was renamed the New Jersey State Hospital at Greystone Park.
