Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center, located in Sewell, N.J., is part of Washington Township Public School District. Established in 1936, it enrolls more than 650 students, in preschool and kindergarten. The school provides a safe and nurturing environment for all children to grow and to learn. Its largest program is its half-day kindergarten program. The children explore concepts in math and science and develop language as they count the days in school, find patterns, give a weather report, graph the number of cloudy and sunny days and review basic color and number words. The school offers music, physical education, art and library with teachers who are specialists. Children in need of special services attend half-day classes with a special emphasis on language development. Physical and occupational therapies are offered in accordance with each child's individual educational program.
