Established in 1949, the Arc of Monmouth is a nonprofit organization that provides services for individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities. It maintains a social service department that offers assessment, vocational guidance and information and referral services. The organization provides financial assistance through its Real Life Choices program, which include need-based budget allocation for youths. The Arc of Monmouth offers health care services through a team of a physician, psychiatrist, psychologists and mental health therapists. Additionally, it provides job and behavioral skills training for adults. The organization also offers residential care and special education advocacy services. The Arc of Monmouth maintains the Work Opportunity Center, which provides general assembly, poly bagging, packaging and heat sealing services for commercial purposes. It serves more than 1500 individuals in 25 locations throughout Monmouth County, N.J.
