The First Congregational Church offers weekly worship services, religious education and music programs and childcare. It is a member of the United Church of Christ.
The church was initially founded 250 years ago by a small group of men and women. Eventually, the group purchased land at the corner of Kinderkamack Road and Continental Avenue to construct what began as a non-denominational church and later joined the United Church of Christ. The building was rebuilt in 1954 following the addition of the Parish house and church school building.
