Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Asbury Park, NJ, was established in 1965 by Pastor Samuel Pinkston and a group of former members seeking to form a new church and Christian fellowship. Starting in a neighbor's basement, the congregation eventually acquired the former Mt. Carmel Catholic Church School building and adjoining properties through faith and community support. Today, under the leadership of Pastor Lamont Brown, Faith Baptist Tabernacle continues to fulfill its mission of evangelizing to families and building disciples.
