The recreation department -- based out of the Fair Lawn Community Center on 20th street -- manages the borough's parks, athletic fields, pools, and playgrounds. The department oversees organizations such as the Radio Club, Fair Lawn Art Association and Bridge Club.
Holiday celebrations and a number of volunteer efforts are also organized by the recreation department. The department's fitness programs include tennis lessons, basketball camps, softball leagues, street hockey, competitive volleyball and aerobics classes. Information on all of the department's sports programs can be viewed at www.flallsports.org.
Fair Lawn's senior center is also run by the recreation department. James Graff is the borough's superintendent of recreation.
