The Elysian Charter School was one of the first public charter schools in New Jersey when it opened its doors in 1997. The K-8 school focuses on hands-on and cooperative learning, and keeps class sizes to a maximum of 16 students per class.
The admissions process is handled by an enrollment coordinator in partnership with the Elysian Charter School Outreach Committee (which is comprised of parents, staff and board members), the administration and the Board of Trustees. The coordinator oversees the issuing of lottery numbers, conducts tours and open houses, and plans the end of year orientation for incoming students and their families.
