History
Located in Central New Jersey, Elmwood Cemetery was established in 1868. Elmwood's founders had a vision to create a beautiful final resting place for the deceased and a tranquil place of reflection for the visitor. The cemetery is currently active and has over 10,000 graves with cremation graves available. Elmwood Cemetery Association operates under the guidelines of New Jersey State Law and The New Jersey Cemetery Board. A Maintenance and Preservation Fund was established in 1923 guaranteeing that graves and lots would be tended for future generations. Since then, Elmwood Cemetery Association has continued to exceed state funding requirements out of a commitment to preserve the integrity and character envisioned by its founders.
