Diana Stavrou, ATC, OTC is part of our Orthopedics team, working under Dr. Abrutyn in both Bridgewater and Warren. Ms. Stavrou is a Certified Athletic Trainer who offers expertise in general orthopedics and is trained and experienced in evaluating a variety of athletic injuries and conditions in athletes, runners, weekend warriors and patients who need further guidance with physical therapy. She believes in assessing a patient based on a full subjective report from the patient, rather than basing a course of action solely on objective measures. She dedicates herself to the overall wellness of her patients which includes getting them back to their previous quality of life.Ms. Stavrou has served in a variety of roles in collegiate, high school and clinical orthopedic settings and has experience volunteering at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. She completed her fellowship at the Steadman Clinic, where she was educated in orthopedic evaluation received specialized training in an orthopedic clinical setting. Under her guidance, Bound Brook High Schools Athletics department received the Safe Sports School Award from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) in 2017.When not working with patients, Ms. Stavrou enjoys road and trail running, skiing, hiking, swimming, fitness and nutrition, cheering on the NY Yankees, and spending quality time with her husband and young son. Ms. Stavrou is proud to be a supporter of and fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and recently ran the NJ Half Marathon to raise funds for the cause.
