My passion for photography began when I was a child looking at amazing images in National Geographic. Fascinated by light and how a great photo was created, I attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography. My ability to engage a wide range of subjects led to a career in music and celebrity portrait photography with work featured in more than two dozen publications, including Rolling Stone, Time and Vogue. Bringing out the best in people is my goal. In my 25-year career taking portraits and covering events, I capture the essence of each person and create a unique story for weddings, bar mitzvahs and other celebrations. Black and white square-format photography using the Rolleiflex film camera is a special service I offer. When I am not taking photos or teaching pinhole and cyanotype photography, I am biking with my son and daughter, cooking, gardening and walking our dog in Maplewood, NJ.
