Eldridge Reeves Johnson, founder of the Victor Talking Machine Company, donated $250,000 to the Moorestown Women's Club to help the organization build a community center. The Community House opened its doors in 1926 and has been the center of Moorestown's Main Street ever since. Many organizations hold meetings here. The original gym was recently renovated. The new ballroom can hold up to 180 people. The building also contains a kitchen, a Garden Room and a Club Room. The basement contains a pool that is used for lap swim.
