First formed in 1947, the first members of the Community Church of Cedar Grove held services at the municipal building until the church obtained the land and a house at its present location. The sanctuary was built in 1952, five years to the day of the forming of the congregation. The church prominently displays 23 stained glass windows, visible from both inside and out. Frazier Hall, where the church holds Sunday School and post-service fellowship hours, was completed in 1958. The church holds Sunday School for children from babies through eighth graders, provides nursery care for children up to two years old and operates a state-certified, non-sectarian nursery school from September to Memorial Day. The church also features a thrift store, which is used for fundraising.
