The West Orange Health Department is a public health department providing a variety of services to residents, including dental services for seniors, animal control, public health concerns, marriage/civil union applications and residential refuse collection. The Health Center, which provides health services for West Orange residents, is located in the John P. Renna Jr. House at 10 Gaston Street. Many services are free; others require a fee. The Health Department also employs a health educator, who provides education in areas such as alcohol and drug abuse control, nutrition, domestic violence and abuse. Activities include stroke assessment programs.
