Since 1970, Ciarco Learning Center has been providing educational and counseling services for adults who have not completed a formal high school education. The adult learning center offers day and evening courses in English as a Second Language, high school equivalency, English basic skills and various other courses. It provides a point of re-entry for adults who have not achieved academic success and those who have not been able to participate fully in the regular programs of the college. It offers a nontraditional and flexible learning environment that allows adults to learn about the alternatives available to them and prepares them to use such services. Ciarco Learning Center is located in Hackensack, N.J., and is operated by the Bergen Community College.
