Christie Engineering P.C was founded in 1992 by Mr. Richard Christie. Mr. Christie has over 20 years of structural engineering experience and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in six states ( NJ, NY, CT, PA, ME, VT ). Mr. Christie was educated at Stevens Institute of Technology. As Principal-In-Charge, Mr. Christie is overseeing design development and he is making sure all project schedules are meet in time. He has a hands-on role in the design and he performs quality assurance review of all project deliverables. Mr. Christie is also recognized as an expert in the design of cold formed steel structures.The firm currently consists of six structural engineers, including four registered Professional Engineers, two draft persons, one field engineer, and two administrative personnel.Jeffrey A. Bravstein, PE - Senior Project Manager. Mr. Bravstein joined the firm in 2003 and has over 20 years of experience as a structural engineer. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in four states ( NJ, NY, CT, PA ). Mr. Bravstein graduated from Rutgers University in 1989. As Senior Project Manager, he will be responsible for the project progress accountability, general design overview and quality review. Mr. Bravstein is experienced in the use of pre-fabricated panelized and modular systems for use in building structures and has recently designed multi-story residential buildings using shipping containers as the primary structural core.Jarib O. Medina, PE - Project Manager. Mr. Medina joined the firm in 2003 and has over 11 years of relevant experience. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey. He is a graduate of UNHU University, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 1995 and received his Masters degree from Rutgers University in 1998. Mr. Medina recently completed the design of a 12-story mixed use residential building using precast concrete plank supported on panelized load bearing steel stud walls on a four-story cast-in-place concrete podium.Yan Chen, PE - Project Manager. Ms. Chen has over 14 years of relevant experience and is licensed to practice in New York. She is a graduate of Shanghai Tongji University in 1985 and received her Masters degree from the University of New Orleans 1993. Ms. Chen is experienced in the design of mid and high-rise steel framed structures.Wenming Wang, PhD, PE. -- Senior Engineer. Mr. Wang has over 11 years of experience in structural engineering. He is a graduate of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He received his Masters degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and received his Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University in 2006. Mr. Wang is experienced in both high-rise steel and concrete buildings. His most recent design effort was a 12-story concrete building in Long Island City, New York. Mr. Wang is licensed to practice in California.Lawrence Griffith - Senior Engineer. Mr. Griffith joined the firm in 2000 and is a graduate of Penn State University class of 1999. He is a staff engineer capable of designing in structural steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry, and specializes in the design of cold-formed steel framing. His most recent projects include the design of dormitory structures at CUNY Queens College and SUNY Stony Brook University." One of my favorite engineering firms is Christie Engineering.
