The Bergen County Department of Parks is responsible for the management and maintenance of parks systems and covers more than 7, 900 acres. It works to plan, promote, organize and administer recreational, cultural and historical services for the Bergen County Park System. The department maintains Bergen County Zoo, which exhibits animals from North America and South America and supports various educational programs.
