Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club
A general interest radio organization located in the Fair Lawn Community Center on 20th street, the Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club was one of the first groups of its kind in North Jersey when it was founded in 1961. The club's facilities include two rooms with five operating stations, with its antennas mounted on a 20-foot tower on the roof. By providing communications for Fair Lawn's annual 4th of July Fireworks display and the Memorial Day parade, the club has show a commitment to public service. Many club members are also part of Fair Lawn's Radio Emergency Service organization and the Community Emergency Response Team. Syd Rosenfield is the club's president. Membership is open to both licensed or unlicensed radio enthusiasts, and the club helps members without a license obtain one.
