History
The owner of next-door Murphy's Diner, Keith Murphy, got started in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher and busboy in Baltimore, Maryland. As he went first to college and then graduate school, Keith tried many other fields. From banking to legislative work, from the electrical trade to city planning, Keith found none of them were as interesting, challenging, or exciting as the restaurant business. In 2007, with two decades of industry experience under his belt and having decided that city planning wasn't the right field for him, Keith decided to take the plunge and lease the defunct Omega Nightclub at 494 Elm Street in Manchester. In the years since, the business has expanded three times and tripled in capacity, to become one of Manchester's largest venues.
