The Division of Motor Vehicles is a part of the New Hampshire Department of Safety. The division provides education, enforcement, identification, licensing, registration and title services. Its title bureau is responsible for maintaining records pertaining to the buying and selling of vehicles. The Division of Motor Vehicles has a driver licensing office that is responsible for the issuance of driver licenses to citizens. The division offers driver education to more than 10,000 students annually. Its registration bureau is responsible for the registration of automobiles, boats, mopeds, motorcycles, tractors, trailers, and construction, agricultural and farm equipment. The division establishes driver license policies, procedures and requirements. The Division of Motor Vehicles additionally offers motorcycle rider training programs.
