Michael McDonald and Daniel Morrissey, the MMA principals, share more than 50 years of experience in the conduct, management and technical oversight of a wide variety of ground-water projects. MMA's project experience includes ground-water resource development, wellhead and source-water protection area delineation, mine dewatering, contaminant transport evaluations, ground-water remediation assessment, plume allocation, expert testimony and negotiation support, and regional ground-water flow system analysis. In addition, MMA's staff is fully experienced in development and execution of hydrogeologic field investigations. MMA was founded in 1990 by Michael McDonald and Daniel Morrissey. Mr. McDonald has 30 years of experience as a hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey ( USGS ) McDonald Morrissey Associates in the analysis and simulation of ground-water flow systems. As president of McDonald Morrissey Associates, Inc, he has been principal investigator on numerous hydrogeologic projects throughout the United States. While with the USGS, he developed the ground-water model MODFLOW, the most widely used model in the world. Mr. Morrissey is co-founder and principal of McDonald Morrissey Associates, Inc Mr. Morrissey has 24 years of hands-on experience in solving quantitative hydrogeology problems, and is a recognized expert in the application of ground-water flow and solute transport models. Prior to founding MMA, he served as Chief of the New Hampshire/Vermont District of Water Resources Division of the U S. Geological Survey. MMA staff are members of the National Ground Water Association, American Water Works Association, Geological Society of America, American Geophysical Union, and the International Association of Hydrologists.
