This location was the residence of Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. Eddy retired here after living in Boston, renting the house and living there from 1889 to 1892 as she revised her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Though she lived at other locations, some of them no longer stand; this house contains a scale model of her home named Pleasant View as well as exhibits of her childhood and home life. It is open from May through October on Mondays and Saturdays or by appointment.
