The original Lobster Boat Restaurant is located in Merrimack, New Hampshire and was established in 1984. It is now owned and operated by Ben Workinger, Sr. and continues to attract customers who are looking for a true New England seafood experience. Known best for its excellent food and relaxed vibe, the Merrimack Lobster Boat has proven to be a wonderful example for the three Lobster Boats that have followed in its footsteps. The Lobster Boat in Litchfield, New Hampshire opened on May 1, 2002. The Litchfield restaurant is owned and operated by Ben Workinger, Jr. and Jon Workinger. While smaller than the original Boat, the Litchfield restaurant boasts a brick patio with outdoor seating to allow customers to enjoy their seafood in the sunshine on gorgeous spring, summer, and fall days. Ben and Jon, the sons of Merrimack owner Ben Workinger, Sr., are currently working on opening their second restaurant and the fourth Lobster Boat in Exeter, New Hampshire. They expect to open their doors in Exeter in November, 2010. The Li'l Lobster Boat of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts opened on October 14, 2002. The Tyngsboro restaurant is owned and operated by Steve Varrieur and Jerimiah Varrieur. It is the smallest of the four restaurants but does a mean takeout business! It is a great place to pick up dinner on your way home from the mall after a busy day of shopping.
