History
The New Hampshire Association for the Blind was formed in the winter of 1912 in the town of Hancock, NH by the late Emma Coolidge Weston. Emma's goal for starting the organization was to provide encouragement and training for people who were blind and visually impaired. In 1933 the organization became a non-profit corporation under the laws of NH. Most recently, March 2017 the organization changed its name from NH Association for the Blind to Future In Sight. The new name offers a better representation of how the organization has grown and adapted to changing needs and demographics and more accurately reflects the larger community we seek to serve.
