The Exeter Sportsman's Club has operated continuously since 1878, making it one of the oldest shooting clubs in the United States. The club is located on the edges of the Exeter Water Works Pond. It can be accessed from a dirt road off Portsmouth Avenue, near the intersection with Allen Street. It is a private club with a strong community spirit. It hosts many special events each year, including the Black Powder Turkey shoot, indoor Wax Bullet shoots, Bowling Pin shoots and an annual Kids' Fishing Derby.
